Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

Now is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we've ever tested. It removes dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.

The design is also superior to the other models. It has a sleek, high-end piece that appears like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor.  robotic vacuum cleaners  was able to take small gravel and sand that other robots aren't able to do. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

The j7+, while not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba S9and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, is a good option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the best option. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it a great option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas, adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is simple. It also has a large LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessity for most people but it can aid in keeping the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are among the top available - but it's also pricey.

The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that do very well at collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't have the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many alternatives available. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a price that is affordable. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be located close to an outlet that has enough space to move.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The most important characteristic that sets the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and where it can't access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.

The sleek G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished floors or low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin, which doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it struggles less with heavy materials such as cereal.
